Rancho Encantado Eco Resort and Spa
Resort Location
Twenty five miles north of Chetumal´s airport, in Mexico´s Quintana Roo state, and about the same distance from the border of Belize, Rancho Encantado is situated on the shores of the pristine waters of Laguna Bacalar, the forty-mile-long "Lagoon of Seven Colors".
Situated among lush tropical gardens and exotic fruit orchards, It lies in an area unspoiled by development and provides habitat for a variety of orchids and over 150 species of tropical birds. A paradise for the eco-minded traveler who seeks escape from the larger, often over-developed areas.
Because of the close proximity to some of the most major Mayan archaeological sites in the region, a stay at the Rancho provides opportunities for exploration of one of the last areas in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico to develop.
