Mallinallitzin Sabinita Visarraga comes from a curandera lineage. She was born in the mountains of northern New Mexico. She a mother and grandmother. Mallina, as she prefers to be called, is a doctor of oriental medicine with a degree from the Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She has studied extensively with healers in Hawaii and Mexico. Mallina has her practice in Bacalar, Mexico and has clients and students through out the world. Mallina is an intuitive, compassionate practitioner, student & teacher.

"It has been my experience from observation and practice that many massage therapists, nurses, doctors, counselors and anyone who is in the service of others sometimes experience burn out. Treatments become robotic and the practitioner suffers from different maladies due to working in people’s energetic fields. This is due to improper preparation before treatments and ineffective cleansing after treatments. My technique assists me in staying present and in keeping myself and my workspace “clean” of other’s energies, making each treatment fresh and effective," says Mallina. "While teaching these techniques I will also be teaching the following..."

LEARN:
  • Ancient Hawaiian movement form called flying to align body, mind and spirit
  • How to incorporate the flight into lomi lomi massage
  • Basic meridian theory
  • Jin shin do acupressure and combination of release points for different disharmonies
  • Learn how to use your five senses to draw in Qi during session
  • How to set up your treatment space for an optimum experience for both you and your client
  • You will have free time every day to swim, hang in a hammock, read, kayak or just do nothing.
VISIT:
  • Local Mayan healers/shamans and observe them work and attend lectures
  • Participate in a experiential ceremony at the Mayan pyramids of Dizbanche

EXPERIENCE:

  • Sweat lodge Ceremony, conducted by Atzin, an Aztec ceremonial dancer/healer from Mexico City

Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or a beginning student, you will leave the training with new techniques and tools to incorporate into your existing or new practice.
There will be a Yoga or Qi Gong class every day.
